Sunday Service

We believe one of the most important things parents can do for their kids is to pass along the comfort of God's Word to them. That's why Trinity volunteers put in so much work to prepare and teach lessons to the next generation. Our Sunday School volunteer teachers are vetted and skilled at preparing and presenting fun crafts along with memorable and relevant lessons to your kids every Sunday morning at 9am. Our volunteers’ goal for each session of Sunday School is to provide your child with a safe and social time on a Sunday morning to grow alongside other kids in their confidence of God's love. We value your trust when bringing your child to Sunday School at Trinity! We thank you for allowing us to share Jesus with them!

Sunday School - 9am-10am

Join us every Sunday morning for an hour devoted to diving into the Bible together! Bring your questions, your experiences, your concerns and your comments as we encourage one another in this discussion-based study. Whatever your learning style or personality type, we aim to be your allies in your effort to know God better though his Word. Sometimes we study particular topics or simply go through a book of the Bible chapter-by-chapter. Whatever the format, our goal is always to walk away with more comfort in Christ and confidence in his grace. We'd love to see you and grow with you in this relaxed and easy-going hour of learning.

Sunday Morning Bible Class - 9am to 10am

Join us every Sunday morning for an hour devoted to diving into the Bible together! Bring your questions, your experiences, your concerns and your comments as we encourage one another in this discussion-based study. You won't be put on the spot, or asked to do anything you're uncomfortable with. Whether you're a chatty person, or learn by silently listening, you are welcome! Sometimes we study topics (e.g. "Baptism," or "Politics in light of the Bible"). Sometimes we take a book of the Bible and just read it! We'd love to see you and grow with you in this relaxed and easy-going hour of learning.

10:15am Worship Service

Trying out a new church is an overwhelming experience. Will you be greeted or ignored? Will greeters give you enough space? Will the service be easy to follow? Will you get looks if your children make noise? At Trinity we want to share what we believe to be a deeply meaningful liturgical style of worship, but we also want to do our part to make it accessible and comfortable to you. When you walk in, a greeter will provide you with a Service Folder, which displays the service in its entirety for you to follow. You are free to take whichever seat you like (there’s no “assigned seating” at Trinity!). And while we love to hear the voices of children chirping up throughout the service, if you and your little one need a little space, there is a nursery just outside of the worship area. The nursery has a window and speaker to enable you to stay part of the service. It also has a changing table and diaper bin should these be necessary. If you require any further accommodations, please let us know!

Communion

Members of Trinity uphold the beautiful truth that the gospel is for everyone (Romans 10:13). We are so happy to join together every Sunday to hear the good news of the forgiveness of sins, and to be refreshed by it together! We want nothing less than to do so with you.

And while the Lord’s Supper (aka Communion) is one of the ways Jesus brings us the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:28), Scripture also teaches us to celebrate it together with those who are united with us in belief and ministry, because it is a joyful expression of unity (1 Corinthians 10:16,17). That means that if you’re visiting us and aren’t yet a member of Trinity, any church in the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, or any church in the Evangelical Lutheran Synod, we ask that you would please wait to commune with us until we’ve reached that unity together. We accomplish this through our Bible Basics studies, which you can read more about below!

It is not our intention to withhold the gospel from anyone. So, we will be so glad that you will have joined us to hear the saving message of Jesus Christ (Romans 10:17). Imagine how much greater our joy will be when we also get to commune with you in the future!

If you are interested or have questions about this practice, please feel free to contact us (via the contact form on this site). If you are a member of the WELS or ELS and plan to visit us for a Communion Sunday, please inform our pastor or an usher of your intent to commune with us prior to the service if possible. Thank you!

11:30am Fellowship

Our church is friendly and loves chatting after service over refreshments. This is a great time to connect with Pastor Mike, catch up with members or meet someone new.

Weeknight Services and Bible Study

Your walk with Christ isn’t just a “one hour on Sunday” kind of thing. We all need to be fed by the Word throughout the week, both for encouragement and for growth in understanding. On Wednesdays at 6:30-8:00pm, we take the opportunity to dive more deeply into a topic or book of the Bible than we are usually able to during our Sunday Morning Bible Hour. Please refer to the home page of this website or our Facebook page for upcoming studies and topics, as well as updates or temporary changes to our Bible study schedule! We’d love to spend this time with you in the Word!

And because our church follows the liturgical calendar, we offer extra worship services during the seasons of Advent and Lent (so, December and March) of every year. During those seasons, our weeknight Bible studies are paused. Please refer to our social media for updates and announcements. The study schedule is also printed in the service folder you receive at our worship service!

Bible Basics Class

Are you curious about what the Bible teaches? Do you have questions about what exactly is taught at Trinity? Are you looking to meet people, interact with Pastor Mike, and grow in the Word? Trinity offers 'Bible Basics' classes throughout the year. While these “Bible Basics” classes are a “must” for membership at Trinity, there is no obligation to join the church by starting them. At this time, Pastor Mike conducts Bible Basics classes with each individual or family that is interested, by appointment, and with flexible location (although usually at church!). Pastor Mike greatly enjoys the opportunity to hear your questions and insights, while guiding the discussion back to Scripture.

Please contact us to learn more, or to schedule your first lesson!

Women's Bible Study & Men's Bible Breakfast

Our mission at Trinity is to grow together in the true Word of God, and it is also to share in God’s love together. To that end, Trinity offers group opportunities specifically designed to get you together with supportive brothers and sisters. These groups are open to members and guests alike, even if it’s your first time with us! Women’s Group is held on every second Sunday of the Month immediately after worship (so, 11:30am), while Men’s Bible Breakfast is held on every third Saturday of the month from 9am-10:30am. Occasionally, this schedule needs to be adjusted, so it is best to follow our Facebook page for updates: facebook.com/trinitylutheranelpaso
